The St Lawrence River is at its best in the later part of summer and early in the fall. You can fish from Chippewa Bay to Cape Vincent and find some nice sized walleyes. Further down the river close to Ogdensburg, you will find the walleye during July. This is a place where the action is ongoing. Anglers like this area because of the abundance of walleye during this time. Hopping jigs will work the best in this area, but a worm harness and a spinner work well also.
