Melt your butter and pour it into a small baking dish. Add the walleye fillets.

Sprinkle with the lemon juice and the salt. Place your baking dish in the oven, and bake the walleye for about ten minutes at 375 degrees. In a heavy sauce pan, slowly heat the cream until a skin forms, turn down to medium heat. Put your cooked shrimp over the walleye, then top with the cream mixture. Sprinkle cheese and the parsley over the top.

Put this in the broiler and broil it until the cheese is melted. You may garnish with the lemon wedges, and these may also be used to for additional lemon flavoring as desired.

One of the neat things about preparing foods like this, is that you can be (and should be) creative!  Spend some time enjoying this great tasting fish simply, too.  For example, you can easily pan sear it with just a bit of butter, salt and pepper and have a simple, yet flavorful meal to enjoy.

Finally, remember that all good walleye recipes require a great fish.  Fresh fish is the most important (even if you did not catch it yourself.)  Plus, you will find that fishing for the fish yourself gives you more thrill out of a meal.  Even if you do not want to prepare the fish yourself, definitely get fresh quality.
