Would like some imput on a great fishing resort and lakes for walleye around the Temagami Ontario region? Was disappointed in “the olive lake resort” and fishing there. Also when would be the best time to fish walleye ….some say right after spawning season…but when does that occur in the above area?
There are so many wonderful fishing resorts in the Temagami area of Ontario, and it is sad that you had a bad experience. Some wonderful lakes you should check out are: •Brophy Lake •Angus Lake •Cassels Lake •Cross Lake •Chambers Lake •Duncan Lake •Gull Lake •Gosselin Lake •Ingall Lake •Jumping Caribou Lake •James Lake •Lady Evelyn Lake •Lowell Lake •Lake Temagami •Martin Lake •Obashkong Lake •Obabika Lake •Rabbit Lake •Red Squirrel Lake •Rib Lake •Sunrise Lake •Twin Lake •Tent Lake •Wasaksina Lake •Net Lake •Wilson Lake •Herridge Lake •Net Lake Often the most difficult part is determining where you want to go to fish when it comes to this part of the Ontario area. Some fishing lodges you want to consider are: •Ridgewood Cottages, which offer cottages for rent in Ontario, Temagami, and Northern Ontario. They boast great amenities, fishing charters and some of the best fishing anywhere, particularly for walleye, smallmouth bass, or Northern Pike! Services include fishing guide service, bait, boat, and shore lunches. You are required to bring your own fishing gear, though. • Another great fishing Lodge in Temagami Ontario is the Angus Lake Lodge and Resort. The amenities are great and the service just does not get much better. Fishing in the Temagami area is good all year long, and some people believe ice fishing is the best it gets on Temagami, but prime fishing time for walleye is from May until the middle of June, which is when the fish start to move to spawn, and again from the middle of August until September, which is the actual spawn.
