How to catch walleye with the best bait and lures at 3:00 A.M

What are the best lures, and baits for walleyes and how do you catch them at 3:00 AM

Walleye fishing at 3:00 a.m. is of course going to be a challenge simply because the water is usually murky or dark anyway, therefore seeing the walleye will be harder to do. However, walleye fishing at this time of the morning is pretty good according to many fishermen. The best bait that is preferred in order to catch walleye for many fishermen amazingly is a worm or night crawler. But not the little worms; it’s those worms that are big and fat. Walleye love the worms as do many fish. When using worms obviously the walleye is going to attempt to swallow the worm with the hook. However, at this time of morning there are usually bigger walleye that are going to be out and hungry than smaller ones. Keep in mind too that bigger fish eat smaller fish, and therefore some walleye have been known to eat minnows too. As far as the best lures to use at 3:00 a.m. in the morning, there are a number of these. For example, the glowing lure is popular and effective because the walleye can see them. In addition, walleye stay close to the bed of the lake and the undercurrent makes the glowing lures move around appearing to look like food for the walleye. Another well-known lure is known as the “twister tail”. These lures can be scented or unscented too. These lures can be white, bright yellow, black and even red. This makes it very easy for the walleye to see the lure.
