Hi Dan. I enjoy your website. My question is regarding a lake I have heard about called O’Sullivan lake in Quebec. It is east of La Verendrye and has an outfitter called O’Sullivan lake lodge. Any insight into this lake or the fishing there? thanks, Ernie
O’Sullivan Lake in Quebec is a great place to spend a few days fishing for walleye. I have heard that the anglers who have spent some time at the Outfitter Lodge have come away with some nice pictures of their catch release walleyes. The biggest I believe was a record thirty-six inches. I guess the fish is still in the water up there somewhere. The average size however, is fifteen to twenty-two inches. You can catch and keep or volunteer to catch and release, which makes it nice for anglers who want the thrill, but not the fish. The fishing is superb and the cabins are comfortable. The lodge holds a desk for obtaining your license, bait and tackle and you can rent your own boat if that is what you want to do. If you want to take the rough road, you can stay at one of the camps near a great walleye catching location. I would say this place is a great place to catch some walleye. Just the stocking of the walleye makes it ideal place for an abundance of fish. O’Sullivan Lake is noted for walleye fishing and has been an ideal location in Canada for walleye fishing. If you are looking for some walleye fishing and you want to go to Canada, you would be wise to book your stay with the Outfitter Lodge. The lake does have a daily walleye take that is incredible. Therefore, this is a great place to fish walleye and have some fun.
