Walleye fishing in Columbia River

Can you give me some good tips for walleye fishing the Columbia River?

Not only can we provide you with one spot that you will catch walleye, but several spots in the Columbia River where the hottest locations for walleye are. Summer time is a great time to go walleye fishing on the East side of the river. Although it would seem like the worst time to fish, it’s a hay day when you go out to catch those walleyes. Try going near the McNary Dam when you’re on the water. In fact, that’s where the biggest fish in Washington are as far as walleye are caught. People will walk away from this spot with 15 pound walleye too. Remember the types of waters the walleye like to be in; deeper water, and among weeds, or rock formations. Check out the markers of 62 and 64 along the river to find another place where you can catch a bunch of walleye. Try using jigs that you can get to jump around and run deep. You can find a ton of fish between these markers, but stay on top of the shelf to find the best walleye fishing. Other choices of bait are blade bait, roundhead, and a night crawler with a nose hook. If there is a stronger current next to the dam, the walleye may move to the sides. Try out Boulder Alley too; this spot is a bit tougher to fish from since so many rocks are around. But some very large walleye can be found in this spot. Also with your bait, check into getting some brighter colors so they will stand out in the dark for the walleye to bite on. With some patience you should be able to catch some walleye in the Columbia River. Check out the locations that people have done well in the past. Good luck in your fishing.
