Walleye Fishing Tackle

There are many types of baits and lures that will work well which you should have access to in your walleye fishing tackle. For example, one such bait is crankbaits, which are a staple of your tackle box if you are a walleye fisher because they mimic the fish that the walleye feed on and “crank” out a great catch every time. Bottom bouncers and walkers are also quite popular for walleye, since they sink and literally bounce along the bottom of the water structure, much the way a minnow or leech might do naturally, attracting the walleye with ease in their own natural environment.

Obviously, there is no shortage of options in regards to bait or lures that should be carried with your walleye fishing tackle, and there are a great deal of recommendations to adhere to when choosing your rod, reel, and line. Having a spinning reel and a baitcast rod and reel will allow you the greatest flexibility and most opportunity for catching walleye in most locations, and using stronger line will assure you a better chance of reeling in a tough walleye without the line snapping.
