What lakes have good winter walleye fishing?

I’m planning a winter Walleye fishing trip for the end of the year – can you give me a few names of Lakes that have good winter Walleye fishing?

Since I’m not sure where you’re located or how far you’re willing to travel, that’s a little difficult.  I can however, provide you with several lakes in a few different states.  You may want to check out the areas on the internet or make a few phone calls to the Fish and Game offices in each area, they can give you more information on the specific area you choose.  You may also want to consider hiring a guide, if you’re unfamiliar with an area, a guide can be a real timesaver and odds are your trip will be much more successful.  In many cases, a guide will actually guarantee a specific day’s catch.  If you’re planning to travel a great distance, you don’t want to take the chance that your unfamiliarity with the lake turns your trip into a waste of time.  The lakes you should investigate include Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron in AuGres, Michigan, Lake Sakakawea in Pick City, North Dakota, the Fort Peck Resevoir in Glasgow, Montana, Leech Lake in Walker, Minnesota, Bay de Noc on Lake Michigan in Escanaba, Michigan, Lake Winnebago in Osh Kosh, Wisconsin, Lake Mille Lacs, Garrison, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Baudette, Minnesota, Devils Lake in Devils Lake, North Dakota, and Lake Sharpe in Pierre, South Dakota.
