When to Use the Sweet Beaver Lure

Can you tell me what the best scenario is for using the new Sweet Beaver lure?

There really is not a bad case scenario when it comes to using a Sweet Beaver lure. If bass are in the area, they will strike anytime this lure enters the water. If you get no strikes on the line after about 15 minutes or so, move to a new area and try again. An ideal scenario for the Sweet Beaver lure is employing the flip and pitch technique in heavy grass areas. Match this technique with a super line hook that is at least 3/8 ounces in weight. Along with this, use a _ ounce pegged or un-pegged weight. Whether or not the weight is pegged depends on what cover you are fishing in. You can also add a small glass rattle weight if desired. For bait, select something with a crawfish scent. Bass naturally draw to this scent as it is at the top of their feeding list. For rod selection, use a high quality flip rod and reel combination. Line weight can be 15 to 20 pounds test line or a 50-pound line, whichever you prefer. There is no wrong color when it comes to the Sweet Beaver Lure. Bass are attracted to this lure in all shapes, sizes and colors. These fish will often strike the lure before it reaches the bottom surface. Anglers have reported first strikes coming once the Sweet Beaver Lure breaks the water surface. This leads many to concede that the color of the lure makes no difference. Bass do not seem to wait long enough to take a second glance. Just pick whatever looks good to you and get fishing!
