What equipment do you use for fishing walleye?

There are several items you will need for walleye fishing. A medium duty rod – 6 1/2 to 7 feet tall is ideal. This rod will need to be very sensitive from the tip to about 1/4 down. That will allow you to see the slightest of action on it. You want to have a flexible tip that allows you to easily notice what is going on. Depending on angling or trolling, you will need either a spinning reel for a bait cast reel.
A spinning reel used 8 to 10 pound test line. The bait cast will be better off with 15 pound test line because it will be dragging the bottom. You will need a large assortment of jig heads. The various weights will make it possible for you to fish various depths of water. You will also need a large assortment of plastic baits including Twisters and Grubbs.
